Thank you for visiting the Base for International Law and ASEAN Law Studies website. This website was formed in the context of disseminating information regarding all activities organized by BILALS as well as a discussion forum between members and researchers in BILALS.
International law and legal developments in ASEAN are one of the main focuses in the development of research and activities carried out by BILALS. ASEAN as a cooperation forum for countries in Southeast Asia is the only regional organization that has economic and political power which of course is very much taken into account by the international community. Even though ASEAN unification is a hard effort to realize development progress in ASEAN, many things still need to be fixed in order to make this organization can progress and ultimately prosper the ASEAN people.
We are very open to ideas on how to develop ASEAN in the future, especially in the field of law. Visitors can also become BILAS members to be able to actively provide ideas particularly to support every BILALS activity and also the research conducted.
We also thank all parties that we cannot mention one by one who have provided a lot of resource support so that this organization can operate properly.
Last but not least, we are open to criticism and suggestions. BILALS will continue to make efforts to improve and change to contribute to the development of ASEAN and international law.
